Sunflower seed and raisin oatey cookies

Why not try making these nutrtious snacks for your little ones? Easy peasy, and delicious… try not to eat them all yourself!

Ingredients (makes 14 cookies):
75g butter
85g golden caster sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 egg, beaten
75g raisins
50g sunflower seeds
50g plain flour
½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
½ tsp salt
40g porridge oats

Method:

  • Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Stir in all of the remaining ingredients, and stir through until completely combined.
  • Shape into walnut-sized balls and flatten slightly onto a greased and lined baking tray.
  • Place in an oven pre-heated to 180C for 12 to 14 minutes until golden. Then cool on a wire rack.
